From promoting mental health awareness to embracing sustainable jewelry practices, discover the causes that these professionals hold dear.

  • Promoting Mental Health Awareness

  • Addressing Bias in the Recruitment Process
  • Providing Empathic Psychic Readings
  • Fostering Well-Being Through Gardening
  • Improving the Welfare of Stray Animals
  • Embracing Sustainable Jewelry Practices

Promoting Mental Health Awareness

As a counselor, one cause I am passionate about is mental health awareness. In today’s day and age, mental health still has a lot of stigmas surrounding it, and although counseling and psychotherapy are becoming more mainstream, we still have a long way to go.

Helping normalize some of the common mental struggles people go through and normalizing seeking help through therapy is an enormous step towards making this happen.

Advocating for the Chronic-Illness Community

As a licensed clinical social worker, one cause I am extremely passionate about is advocating for the chronic-illness community and rare diseases.

Even though in recent years there has been more education and awareness around disabilities, we still live in a world that was created for non-disabled individuals, and society has created expectations that are not realistic for everyone.

Unfortunately, people with chronic illness face frequent assumptions and barriers to proper diagnosis and treatment and may experience gaslighting from healthcare professionals. I am eager to continue to spread awareness about this cause and help those to thrive despite their experience with a chronic illness.

Championing Environmental Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is a cause of great passion. As a founder and vice president, it is believed to be our duty to promote sustainable business practices and advocate for environmental protection.

Implementing eco-friendly initiatives, such as reducing pollution, using renewable energy sources, and promoting responsible sourcing, is fundamental to the mission of our organization. While serving our customers, we strive to have a positive effect on the environment.

In addition, there is a commitment to supporting environmental organizations and initiatives that aim to safeguard the planet for future generations. We can inspire positive change and contribute significantly to creating a greener and more sustainable world by raising awareness and contributing to sustainable efforts.

Addressing Bias in the Recruitment Process

The research in occupational psychology is very clear: Most employee selection methods are vulnerable to bias. In particular, resume-sifting and the traditional employment interview are notorious for allowing unconscious bias to enter the process, harming candidates from minority backgrounds.

Recruiters are often completely unaware of their biases and believe themselves to be acting fairly and impartially. However, in reality, they simply allow their implicit biases to guide them. What’s worse, even when those recruiters are themselves from minority backgrounds, it doesn’t seem to improve selection ratios.

Not only is this deeply unfair to the actual candidates, but it also helps maintain systemic inequalities, causing harm at the societal level. I strongly recommend that all recruiters, hiring managers, and talent acquisition specialists look for ways to both reduce implicit bias and replace vulnerable selection tools within the recruitment process with fairer alternatives.

Providing Empathic Psychic Readings

The cause I am passionate about is bringing skillful, honest, caring, empathic, and tactful information and help to the general public who consult me for accurate psychic readings.

I’ve done this for many years, both personally and by providing carefully chosen and talented staff to work for me. It’s difficult to achieve this—you can advertise for staff and find that most, if not all, of the people who apply, are not anywhere near as genuine or skilled as the staff you already have.

It is very important to value your staff and treat them well. Hold on to the good ones. Never take them for granted.

Fostering Well-Being Through Gardening

One cause I am passionate about is gardening. It is an enjoyable hobby that brings innovation to your life. It allows me to connect with nature and create beautiful, vibrant spaces.

Gardening is a therapeutic, stress-relieving activity that promotes relaxation and mental well-being. I can engage myself in gardening tasks like digging, planting, and weeding, and it can also provide moderate exercise, which contributes to physical fitness.

Growing food, vegetables, and herbs in my garden provide me with a fresh, organic diet. It also allows me to express my creativity through different landscape designs. Overall, gardening is a refreshing hobby that offers a wide range of benefits for individuals and the environment.

Improving Welfare of Stray Animals

The welfare of stray animals is one issue that is dear to my heart. I have a strong desire to help dogs, cats, donkeys, and any other defenseless animals. Unfortunately, with caring for stray animals, there is a general lack of awareness and concern in my nation.

These helpless creatures are frequently abused and abandoned to rot on the streets. I find it upsetting to watch how many stray animals sustain wounds and endure pain for days on end with no assistance.

In the future, I hope to open an animal rescue facility where all stray animals will have a secure place. They will be treated with respect and affection at this shelter, where they will be welcomed with open arms. I’ll make sure they get the right nutrition, care, and immunizations so they can live long, healthy lives.

Embracing Sustainable Jewelry Practices

In an industry, often scrutinized for its environmental impact, we’ve embraced the future with open arms, choosing to focus on lab-grown diamonds and eco-friendly packaging.

By reducing the environmental footprint associated with traditional mining, lab-grown diamonds offer our customers a beautiful and guilt-free alternative. The increasing demand for sustainable jewelry only confirms that more individuals prioritize eco-friendly and ethical products.

Our commitment continues beyond sourcing. We also extend our sustainable practices to our packaging, using recycled materials that minimize waste. This approach is not just beneficial for the environment but also a means of creating a connection between our customers and nature.
