Society favors early birds. Business hours, morning meetings, medical appointments, and the education system have convinced us that waking up early makes you a winner. Otherwise, you are considered lazy, irresponsible, or, at best, disorganized.
Once I realized I am not all these things, but my chronotype is simply atypical, I rescheduled my life to suit my energy levels.
Whenever I could, I started working in the evening. I found out it took me 15 minutes to complete the tasks I struggled with for an hour in the morning. I stopped setting up an alarm clock and innumerable snoozes, the nightmare I had lived with for 30 years.
