Packaging Materials Are Unsung Heroes
Packaging and containers are the unsung heroes of our business. The trucks get most of the attention, and, of course, our skilled moving teams do the important work, but packing materials play an essential role in making sure our customers’ belongings make it safely to their new homes.
As I’ve matured in this industry, I’ve been amazed at how much goes into a good cardboard box, quality packing tape, or protective materials for delicate glassware. There’s a science to it, and we’re always looking for the ideal trade-off between price and durability.

Packaging Creates First Brand Connection
For me, packaging and containers do more than hold a product; they’re often that first connection a brand has with its customers. I love how thoughtful design can keep items safe and fresh, ensuring that what’s inside lives up to what’s promised. It’s especially interesting with things like food or cosmetics, where packaging isn’t just a wrapper but part of the product’s whole experience. When you see materials, textures, and structure come together, it makes the product feel intentional and well-crafted. And now, with more sustainable options, packaging can deliver on quality without skimping on environmental care.
What also pulls me in is how packaging speaks to people. Colors, finishes, and shapes aren’t just random choices; they tell a story that can make a buyer feel confident about what they’re getting. The right packaging can even turn a quick purchase into something memorable, connecting people with the brand. It’s this mix of creativity and function that I find so satisfying. That’s why I’m genuinely into this field; it’s all about creating an experience that feels right, from the first look to the final reveal.

Custom Packaging Tells Brand Story
As an e-commerce fulfillment provider for apparel products, Apliiq works with our brand partners to help them create and fulfill hundreds of thousands of apparel orders.
Now more than ever, e-commerce brands are looking to create strong consumer experiences for their brands and products. And while many e-commerce brands haven’t developed experiential retail or pop-up activations, they utilize thoughtful and impactful packaging to bring their brands to life, create positive consumer experiences, and activate customers to further engage with the brand.
I highly recommend apparel brands evaluate how they can use custom packaging to help tell their brand story.

Packaging Influences Design Choices
Packaging and containers provide the opportunity to influence numerous design choices in a way that few projects can. They are often the consumer’s first impression of whatever goods they store, so they play a major role in the user experience. From a more technical standpoint, material selection can greatly affect both the monetary and environmental costs of a product. Packaging and containers can quite literally make or break your product.
