Meeting Challenges in a Rapidly Developing Field
I’ve been working in the cybersecurity industry for 22 years, and for 6 of them, I’ve been the CEO of UnderDefense. I am passionate about cybersecurity because it is a rapidly developing field. It helps me stay in good shape because new challenges and threats appear regularly, so I always need to invent innovative solutions. I find satisfaction in knowing that I’m part of protecting people and organizations from various cyber threats.
Cybersecurity enables me to help my country in these difficult times. I’ve been a part of CERT-UA (Computer Emergency Response Team of Ukraine) for almost 2 years since the war started. I must say, during this time, I’ve learned much more about cybersecurity than in the previous 20 years. Our team monitors the cybersecurity of various governmental organizations, including critical infrastructure. I believe I am making a small contribution to Ukraine’s victory by protecting governmental organizations from cyber threats.
