Honoring Impactful Early Education Careers
My job is to source, recruit, screen, and place early-ed professionals in private homes. This is my 27th year in this line of work, and it still excites me. The impact of a quality introduction to early ed on children as early as infancy is profound. It is scientifically proven to increase a successful outcome in every area of life for the child. Knowing that I am matching passionate caregivers and educators with families whose children will thrive under their care for years to come is a true honor. I feel that my career is an opportunity to have a lasting impact on the world around me. That’s passion.

Educating Kids on Family Values at Home
Educating our children starts at home. I am passionate about being able to educate our children on our own family values—kind, caring, confident, compassionate, polite, respectful, responsible, grateful—and teach them to love themselves and others. We also educate our kids on our family expectations, such as house rules, when it comes to managing the home and preparing them to have a positive impact on our world.
Children will turn into adults and need to be able to take care of themselves and others when they get out on their own. Often, parents take the brunt, or all, of the work at home because we can do it better, faster, or we just don’t want to add any pressure on our kids, or get any gruff from them. If we do this, we are missing the opportunity to educate our kids on household responsibilities, money management, and life skills for a successful future.
Mentorship starts at home, and as parents, we work to inspire and motivate our children to try new things and do their best. When kids are given the chance to contribute to the home through chores and managing their own behavior in accordance with family values and expectations, they learn about initiative, motivation, discipline, independence, responsibility, following instructions, meeting timelines, and more. When also given parental recognition for their efforts, a sense of pride and accomplishment ensue, and they feel empowered to get creative, stay curious, and do more!
Successful habits and relationships are learned starting in the home. Children get educated by their parents and siblings and have the confidence to bring these learned skills from a home environment into a school environment, and eventually a work environment, helping prepare them to be successful employees, and most importantly, good social citizens in the ‘real world.’

Shaping Futures with Early Childhood Education
Childhood education lays the foundation for a child’s future. It may sound simple and obvious, but that fact never ceases to amaze me. As a mother of a four-year-old and a teacher at the same time, I’m convinced that educators have the power to shape young minds in various ways, going far beyond solely academic outcomes. They play an essential role in building the little ones’ character, values, and preparedness for the challenges and opportunities later in their lives.
Additionally, I believe that for many children—especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds—quality education serves as a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality. By creating emotionally supportive learning environments, educators make the world a better place. And that’s priceless.

Personal and Professional Belief in Education
My passion for childhood education stems from both my professional and personal experiences. In my 15 years as an academic, I’ve observed the transformative power of education in shaping young adults’ futures, enabling them to accomplish remarkable things and lead fulfilling lives. This conviction is further reinforced by my role as a father of three. Watching my own children grow, develop, and become responsible, well-informed individuals through their educational journeys has been profoundly impactful. These experiences have solidified my belief in the importance of a strong foundation in education for all children, shaping my passion for advocating and supporting educational initiatives.

Fostering Lifelong Learning in Young Minds
The boundless curiosity of children is a powerful catalyst for the advocacy of lifelong learning. It is recognized that young minds are incredibly malleable and receptive to new information, making early education a pivotal stage in cognitive development. By fostering a passion for knowledge from a young age, society can ensure that the next generation continues to engage in learning well into adulthood.
Moreover, instilling a love of learning early on helps children to develop critical thinking skills that are essential for navigating the complexities of the modern world. Encourage support for programs that cultivate this spark of curiosity in the youth.
Advocating for Equitable Educational Opportunities
Supporting childhood education is rooted in the belief that equal access to quality learning experiences is a key driver of social progress and justice. Education serves as a great equalizer, providing every child, irrespective of their background, with the opportunity to succeed. By advocating for equal educational opportunities, one contributes to breaking down barriers that have historically prevented certain groups from achieving their full potential.
Such efforts pave the way towards a more equitable society where each individual has the chance to contribute meaningfully. Join the movement to bridge the educational divide and promote fairness in learning.
Building Blocks for Future Academic Success
Investing in the earliest stages of education can lay a strong foundation for academic success throughout a child’s life. The skills and knowledge that are developed in the formative years are building blocks for future educational achievements. Research has consistently shown that early cognitive and emotional development is critical for the mastery of more complex subjects later on.
By focusing on high-quality early education, society can set up its young members for a bright academic future. Support initiatives that are dedicated to strengthening the educational foundations for our youngest learners.
Inspiring Creativity for a Better Future
Cultivating the imaginations of young learners is essential for envisioning and creating a better future. When children are encouraged to think creatively and innovatively, they develop the ability to solve problems and devise new solutions to the challenges facing the world. Education that nurtures imagination equips future generations with the tools necessary to drive positive change and build a more sustainable and compassionate society.
It is through education that the seeds of creativity and innovation are sown. Stand behind educational programs that inspire creativity for the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
Unlocking Each Child’s Unique Potential
The pursuit of childhood education is fundamentally about unlocking the unique potential that resides in every child. By providing an environment conducive to learning, educators can help children discover their interests and talents, which could be pivotal for their future careers and personal satisfaction. Believing in the capacity of each child to make a significant contribution, educational systems are tasked with tailoring their approaches to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Recognizing that fostering each child’s growth requires effort and resources, society should commit to this endeavor. Advocate for educational policies that are designed to unlock the distinct potential in every child.
