For me, e-learning has a definite place in my industry (cybersecurity awareness). While I focus on delivering live workshops to provide knowledge, it's imperative to understand that people forget what they are taught, and need to be reminded.
This is where e-learning comes in. I utilize short (1 minute), simple reminder videos. That's not a lot of time commitment, and yet in that short time key topics can be rehashed to further improve knowledge retention. And of course these videos can be utilized as a knowledge repository to view particular topics as required.
