Are you majoring in business? Wondering what careers there are for business majors like yourself?

You’re probably tired of hearing something along the lines of “the opportunities are endless.” To get specific about career options, we asked business professionals about their degree and what career they hold today.

Here are nine careers for business majors, including a brief description of job titles and role responsibilities.

### **Director of Client Services**

I attained my B.S. in Marketing from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University! Two years after graduating, I am now the Director of Client Services for Markitors, a boutique SEO Agency in Scottsdale. My responsibilities include ensuring the success of our 40+ clients, analyzing their data on a monthly basis, and managing the Client Service Managers who work with me. It is an exciting position where every day is different and my skills are constantly improving.

### **Regional Sales Manager**

My title is Regional Sales Manager at Insura, an independent insurance agency in Ohio. My job entails helping people everyday feel safer and more secure by protecting the things that matter most to them! As a manager, I also oversee a team of professionals and motivate them to hit goals and do their best work for our company. I love my job!

### **Startup Coach Chief**

I am a business guy all the way! There’s so much to do with a business degree. I have both my undergraduate and graduate business degrees. Twenty years of very diversified corporate experience in marketing and sales and now thirty years plus as an entrepreneurial owner of several companies, two of which I launched after turning 50.

### **CEO and Founder**

I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Business Administration, and I’m the founder and CEO of TechnologyAdvice, a full-service B2B media company, and several other ventures in commercial real estate, media and wellness. For all of these businesses, I am responsible for overall strategy and direction, and I often take an active role in defining strategy for individual teams and departments as we expand those teams or redirect their goals.

### **Business Consultant**

I fell in love with business when I was an Assistant Principal for Kyrene School District in the early 90’s. We opened an elementary school in partnership with Intel Corporation that was the first of its kind in the country. My degree at the time was in Elementary Education and I was working on my masters degree in Educational Leadership. I enjoyed business development and operations so much that I switched majors and graduated with a Masters in Organizational Development. A few years after that I went into business for myself as a business consultant.

### **Career Coaching Consultant**

I majored in Management and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I am currently a career coaching consultant with over 30 years of human resources and outplacement counseling experience.

### **VP of Marketing**

I majored in marketing with a focus on entrepreneurship, and ended up following up my bachelor’s degree with an MBA that had dual concentrations on supply chain management and entrepreneurship. Both of these degrees were at The University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I was hired out of my MBA program to be the VP of Marketing at Red Stag Fulfillment, also located in Knoxville. Without the background of my studies, it’s unlikely I would’ve taken this path to Red Stag, a company in one of the fastest-growing fields (ecommerce order fulfillment and logistics) in the market today.

### **Marketing Consultant and Digital Entrepreneur**

I majored in International Business & Spanish and am currently a marketing consultant and digital entrepreneur. In addition to helping small, tech companies build content processes and teams, I also run a few digital publishing businesses that earn money from ads, affiliate sales, and direct partnerships. Prior to this I was a data analyst and did sales for a marketing services company.

### **Workplace Futurist**

I received an MBA years after earning a degree in Design. The learning experience served as a framing device for business. As a workplace futurist, trainer, and author, I analyze trends and focus on the topics of agility and adaptability as key skills needed to participate in the future.
