Brett, Did you get your hair cut?

One thing I’ve always noticed with the successful people I’ve met is that they have two natural characteristics ingrained in their personalities.
1) They are observant
2) They are personable
Yesterday I was in a meeting with a potential sponsor when the CEO popped his head in. I had met with the CEO twice in meetings, but had not seen him since I had a hair cut on Tuesday.
In the midst of running a multi-million dollar company, not only did the CEO stop by to say hi, but the first thing he said was something about my hair cut. He had been the first person to say anything about it (besides my girlfriend) in the four days since I had spent twelve dollars at Supercuts.
Being observant and being personable are priceless qualities a person can have.
